The complexity of the real estate transaction has increased during the past ten (10) years. For those lawyers who do not practice in the area of real estate law, representing any client in what may be perceived as a “simple real estate closing” is a misrepresentation. My office has engaged in real estate matters since 1986; and, therefore, I perceive my knowledge and experience in representing clients in any real estate transaction is excellent. 

During the past eighteen (18) years, I have established affiliations with local real estate brokers who refer their clients to my office for representation. They do so because of the professionalism of my office in handling their matters. Client phone inquiries and attorney correspondence are answered on a daily basis. Communication is a key to a smooth real estate closing.

My office is a title agent for several title companies, and all office personnel are trained with knowledge of title commitments, real estate contracts, RESPAs, mortgage commitments and closing documents. All work is supervised by me. 

The percent of my office’s representation in real estate matters continues to grow. In addition to advertisement in the yellow pages, which results in a consistent client basis, my office receives many new cases because of prior client referrals. My office’s location in the Western suburbs allows local representation for many of the Cook County real estate closings. I have learned that most clients want reasonable access to their attorney because, for many, their real estate purchase is the largest dollar transaction of their life. They need constant assurance that all matters are being handled and proceeding to the scheduled contract closing date.
